Statistics

Established in 1968, the Department of Statistics provides essential learning resources for students in the undergraduate programs of Mathematics and Economics. Rev. Sr. Josequeen SABS and Prof. P. C. Mary are prominent figures in the department’s legacy. The program aims to equip students with a solid grasp of probability and statistical theory while cultivating practical skills in widely used statistical methods. It seeks to empower learners to synthesize and apply inferential techniques, create an engaging environment for working with data, promote regular interaction between students and faculty, and provide opportunities to connect with statisticians and attend important statistical events outside the college.
